The reason I started A Sprinkle of Sunshine, is simple, I want to help love and encourage people going through one of the hardest times of their lives. I personally lost all of my grandparents due to cancer: pancreatic, lung, and colon cancer. I have had many health issues myself one putting me in the room where cancer patients receive chemo. I had very low iron and started to get iron infusions, the first time I went I had my friend and mom come with me. After the first time, I decided I would start going by myself. When I attended my next iron infusion, my heart broke. This bright, white room was filled with people who had a life altering medical condition. My momma taught me not to hate but let me tell you, I whole heartily HATE cancer. I started to take little bags of candy, tissues, hand sanitizer, and lotion, but then I decided I wanted to make it much bigger than that. So here I am, starting my own non-profit to help these people with life altering medical conditions, trying to bring them a sprinkle of sunshine. I will continue to provide little gifts that cheer them up as much as one can and to show them that people love and care about them.
Meet The Team
"When you can't find sunshine, be the sunshine!"
This quote inspired me beyond belief, so I decided to pursue
one of my life-long dreams- creating sunshine for people in their darkest times! I've been putting together gift bags for chemo patients for over two years, and every time I deliver them, I feel like I'm really able to make a difference in their lives. Truly, it's my honor to connect with every patient I meet.

When she asked me to be a part of her new non-profit,, my immediate answer was yes! I'm honored to be a part of such an incredible organization.
